Alyssum, Saxatile 175 mg

Deep yellow flowers, set against soft-textured grey foilage, smother low growing plants during spring and early summer. Perfect for use in rock gardens, slopes and hillsides, as an edging, or combined with spring-flowering bulbs. Plants are low maintenance and easy-to-grow.

For strong plants with lots of blooms either start seeds indoors 8 to 10 weeks before last frost, or sow outdoors in late summer/early fall and provide winter protection where necessary.

When and Where to Plant:

Select a sunny location and plant outdoors in well drained soil after all danger of frost is past. Alyssum tolerates light shade. Cultivate soil and firm seed, keeping it moist. Fertilize when spring growth begins.

Care and Storage:

Shear plants after peak blooming period to improve appearance and extend blossom period. Store extra seeds in a cool dry place. Heat and moisture severely reduce germination.
