When and Where to Plant:

Seed starts easily outdoors after last frost, but develops slowly in cool weather. For earlier blossoms, start indoors 10-12 weeks before last frost. Press seeds softly into soil and cover lightly with sphagnum moss, a piece of glass, or plastic wrap. Transplant seedlings at 3-4 leaf stage to another container. Plant outdoors in a sunny location, with well drained soil, after all danger of frost is past.

Care and Storage:

Almost no other annual succeeds so easily. Keep soil moist, and feed monthly. For denser plants and more flowers, pinch or shear plants when 6" tall and after first flowers. Store seed in a cool dry place. Heat and moisture severely reduce germination.
