PotHoles® inventor, Christine Burge, invented the product after years of gardening and frustration with finding the proper drainage to maintain the health of her potted plants. While developing PotHoles®, Burge, a non-smoker, was diagnosed with non-smoking lung cancer. During her treatment for the cancer, Burge continued her research which provided a welcome respite from the heavy burden of the disease and the effects its treatment.  Christine passed away in January 2007 so PotHoles is honoring her memory by donating a percentage of profits to the Christine Burge Memorial Fund through Colorado University’s Lung Cancer Research Department.
