This is the premier pumpkin for eating. Fruits grow to about 8" across with sugary-sweet flesh that's big on flavor. The tiny seed cavity means there's lots of flesh for pies, breads, and other cooking. It's great as a jack o'lantern too. Seeds make a delicious, nutritious snack.

When and Where to Plant:
Select a sunny location and plant in the late spring when the soil has warmed. For an earlier crop, start indoors 4-6 weeks before setting out. For best results loosen soil with spade or fork, working in vegetable food and organic matter, and smooth with rake. Firm soil over seed and keep moist.
Care, Harvesting and Storage:
For maximum size feed monthly, keep soil moist pinch off all but 1 or 2 pumpkins oer vine and leave plenty of space between plants. Cut from vine using a pruning shear, leaving 3" of stem. Store extra seeds in a cool, dry place. Heat and moisture severely reduce germination.
